On one of the hottest days of August, Arden Powl—grandson of Carole Zuloaga—braved the sun alongside his dad and brothers, Carter and Illan, to complete his Eagle Scout Project with Troop 176. With generous support from the troop families—who donated funds and came out to help with the physical work—Arden installed a French drain to protect Gordon Hall, which had often flooded during heavy rains. ACO contributed the materials, WIEST provided the trencher, and the Storers—Henry, Nancy, and Jack—together with the church session, offered steadfast support. Arden’s dedication will safeguard and bless our church for many years to come.
